France Sport Expertise – Armenia Meeting

As part of a diplomatic visit to Paris, a high-ranking Armenian delegation led by Mr Arayik Harutyunyan, Chief of Staff to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia and President of the Armenian National Committee for the Francophonie Games, was welcomed by France Sport Expertise and its institutional partners from DIGES and the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs.

This meeting reaffirmed the shared desire to strengthen cooperation between the Armenian organising committee for the next Francophonie Games in Yerevan in 2027 and the excellence of French companies specialising in major international events.

From 23 July to 1 August 2027, Yerevan will host the 10th edition of the Francophonie Games, a unique event that brings together French-speaking youth around sporting competitions and cultural disciplines, combining performance, artistic creation and linguistic diversity.

In Paris, the Armenian delegation held a series of meetings with French stakeholders involved in the preparation and staging of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games (protocols, mobility, security, operational management, etc.) in order to draw inspiration from this experience for the planning and organisation of the 2027 Francophonie Games in Yerevan.

France confirmed its willingness to share its technical and practical expertise to contribute to the success of this major event.

In this context, the meeting with our consortium was a highlight of sporting and economic diplomacy. By bringing together companies covering the entire value chain, the consortium has established itself as a natural partner to support Armenia in implementing ambitious, responsible events that will leave a lasting legacy for local communities.

This sequence illustrates the growing importance of multilateral Francophone cooperation in serving its youth, promoting talent mobility and enhancing the international influence of the Francophone world. Through this meeting and a clear and shared desire to partner with the Armenian organising committee, France Sport Expertise reaffirms its commitment to contributing to the success of Yerevan 2027 and to putting French expertise at the service of a project that combines sport, culture and diplomacy.
