New governance structure at France Sport Expertise
After serving as Executive Chair of the consortium since 2020, Ms. Claude Revel stepped down from her position on October 5. The Managing Director, Paul Guiraud, also left his position as part of this transition.
Under Ms. Revel’s chairmanship, France Sport Expertise established itself as a unique, fully private collective of companies of all sizes, becoming a key player in the sports ecosystem and the sports and events industry. Over time, France Sport Expertise has consolidated its position as a platform for cooperation and promotion of French expertise, supporting its members in conquering new markets and preparing for major sporting and cultural events.
The presidency of the consortium is now entrusted to Sophie Lorant, former senior director of international relations for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games and an expert in sports diplomacy. She works in tandem with the new CEO, Eva Baldessin, a specialist in the management of major international events with whom she has already worked closely (Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Milan 2015, Astana 2017, and Dubai 2020 World Expos).
Together, they are leading a new strategic phase of development, continuing the remarkable work initiated by Claude Revel.
Driven by a bold vision, we intend to capitalize on the legacy of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games to elevate French expertise to the status of a true global label.
Through this new governance structure, France Sport Expertise reaffirms its ambition: to promote the excellence of French expertise across all continents, strengthen synergies between its members, and support host countries and cities in designing high-impact projects.
A new chapter is beginning, guided by the same conviction: sport is a universal lever for economic, social, cultural, and environmental transformation.
